No, really:
So. Pork tenderloin kebabs, clubbed with a tenderizer and marinated overnight in basil, salt, pepper and yellow onions, then grilled on the panini press (with just a little bit of mmm butter). Served up with pilaf, seasoned with sumac, and topped with tadik -- a whole wheat crust baked on the bottom of the rice pot. Then lentils sautéed with the onions that marinated with the kebab. And a fresh side of yellow bell pepper.
THAT, friends, is a satisfying plate.
And here's the tadik-topped-pilaf, straight out of the pot:
The Girl makes a good pot of rice. Must have a streak of Armenian in her.

Chris says--okay, first he said, "That photo's amazing" and then he said something else that I can't print here 'cause your mom reads this blog :)
But anyway, I told him, he hasn't had a kebab until he's had yours.
Good luck in court.
